About SCUBA Girl Apparel
OUR PURPOSE
SCUBA Girl Apparel exists to better serve the Women’s Dive Community with Colorful, Fun and Beautiful options while also telling the World how they Love the Adventure of being a Diver. We realize that over a third of the divers in the world are now woman with more added daily, AND that the sport is pretty monochrome with Gray, Black, White, some Reds and the occasional Pink. We want to help liven up this sport and let woman make a statement with their Dive, After-Dive, and all-around Fun Stuff while on the boat, beach, or the swim-up Tiki Bar.
WHO WE ARE
We are a New Brand as of 2021, with a focus on SCUBA Apparel & Accessories and less on the actual SCUBA gear and equipment. We currently are only available On-Line, but may appear at SCUBA expos, or in your local dive shops soon.
Interestingly enough, the owner (Bill Marvin) is NOT a woman, but he is a Master Diver since 2014 with hundreds of dives and dozens of friends in the dive community (many of which are women). He was previously a part-owner in another scuba apparel business, and quickly realized that women are underserved by the industry with a lack of attractive dive-wear and comfy after-dive clothing. Amazingly, he also realized that women love to shop, buy Scuba Apparel, and share their pride about the sport.
U.S.A BASED
We are owned and operated in Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA. We have distribution centers here in America which helps with our shipping speed; however, some of our fabrics and components are sourced from places like Mexico, Lithuania, Europe and yes (unfortunately) from China. In this area we ask for a little grace, as we need to grow a little more before brining all of our merchandise and full inventory home. This is our goal because we believe in America, Capitalism, supporting our local community, and the hard-working people we live with. Thanks for understanding.
